Blog Post #2

Americans have always been quick to judge leaders when mistakes are made. It's in our nature to judge these leaders because we haven't always been able to trust some of them in our past. There is on leader in particular that I think was too quickly shunned and hated. That leader's name is George Bush.

When I look back, all I see is what could of been if George Bush hadn't been so quickly judged. You've got to feel sorry for the man. Having to deal with 9/11 8 months after walking into office kinda sucks. If he hadn't been so quickly judged I can't say much would of changed.

George Walker Bush made the best of his situation by trying to push forward through his presidency. I think he did a fairly good job for the judgement that was unreasonably forced upon him. He may not be the smartest guy and may of grown up with money but he also had to deal with Bill Clinton's mistakes and deal with a very judgmental nation.

I can sympathize will good-ol' George Bush because there was nothing he could of  done to stop from being judged so quickly. In conclusion, nothing would of changed if the judgement wasn't placed.

Anti-Hero Blog Post

Dexter Morgan is a serial killer in the show "Dexter." This sounds absolutely terrible and makes it seem like he should be the antagonist of the show, except what makes him the anti-hero is the fact that he kills for good reasons. He only murders  other murderers as retribution.

Ichabod Crane is one of literature's earliest anti-heroes. He is one of those protagonists that you love to hate, due to his manipulative, dark nature. If anyone actually knew this man in real life they would probably be prone to not being his friend due to his disgusting nature.

Both Dexter Morgan and Ichabod Crane are anti-heroes because they have dark, twisted minds and manipulate other people to gain an advantage. For example, Ichabod Crane uses Katrina Von Tassel in order to acquire her father's money so he can live a comfortable life. While Dexter uses his significant other to cover up for his lack of emotion and create a perfect cover up for the murders he performes.

Anti-Heroes are one of the most interesting and fun archetypes to watch or read in literature/media due to their uniqueness and how they go about progressing the story. Ichabod Crane and Dexter Morgan are no different and this is what makes them interesting.
